By This All Men Will Know

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (NASB Jn 13:34-35).

Jesus gave this command to us as He was being betrayed by Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, you must love one another as I have loved you. The love Jesus has for us is the standard by which we measure our love, one for another. Each brother and sister in Christ should have a love for the brethren which is not based on tit for tat, but based on the change within the believer. This change only occurs in born again believers who submit to the presence of the Holy Spirit, enabling them to see people as Jesus does. The love one for another reveals to the world we are sons and daughters of God.

How Christians act toward each other reveals there love of Christ and place in the Kingdom.

Right on. Our love must extend to all who are walking in darkness.

I appreciate your initiative in leading the Sunday School.
